Marco, another one of our 2019 AWSSR Ambassadors, excels in dressage. In 2019 with Jennifer, he has qualified for the Region 1 Dressage Championships at Intermediaire 2 and Grand Prix (Adult Amateur). He also helped Jennifer earn her USDF Gold medal and together they have competed at the U.S. Dressage Finals in Kentucky where they placed in the top 10 of their division. They also won the ESDCTA year-end award/FEI high score award at Intermediaire 2.

“Marco is known for his very impressive forelock, aversion to sugar cubes and peppermints and mare-level girthiness,” Jennifer said. “He frequently pretends to be grumpy, but on the inside he’s a big softie who loves attention. He is a blast to ride and a wonderful partner at competitions. He loves to show off his canter pirouettes and one tempis!”

Jennifer said she loves owning an American Warmblood. “It’s so cool that this breed has horses excelling in so many different disciplines!”
“AWSSR is a wonderful organization – I love its commitment to its members (both horse and human) and its focus on horse ability (no matter what the horse’s bloodlines are)!” Jennifer said.
Her advice to other American Warmblood owners?
“Owning an American Warmblood is so special – I am lucky enough to own two and both are amazing horses!” she said. “Getting involved in the AWSSR is a great way to celebrate your involvement with the American Warmblood breed. And as with any kind of horse, remember to love and appreciate your horse everyday!”
